Another 15 COVID cases reported in Cass County

Virginia- The Cass County Health Department is reporting 15 new cases of Covid-19 since Friday.  Over the weekend, CCHD followed up with two new cases to notify them of their positive results and provide instructions on isolation.  Monday’s results included an additional 13 cases for follow-up.  All new cases have been notified and instructed to isolate at home.  CCHD is in the process of notifying close contacts with instructions on quarantine.  None of the new cases are associated with any long-term care facility; they are all a result of community spread transmission. 

Cass County’s overall Covid-19 case count is now at 1726. The active case count is at 95.  The total number recovered is 1601, with 30 deceased.  Two cases remain hospitalized. 

Cass County Health Department reminds residents to remain vigilant and reduce Covid-19 spread by maintaining social distance, wearing a mask when in public, washing hands frequently, and staying home if you or someone in your home feels sick.
