Cass County Courthouse
    Juan Carlos Merino, 18, of Beardstown pleaded guilty to the charge of Unlawful Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Merino was placed on six months court supervision, fined in the amount of $150 plus costs, and granted time to pay.
    Alec S. Davis, 19, of Virginia pleaded guilty to the charge of Theft under $500. Davis was placed on 12 months probation, sentenced to 90 days jail, said jail time is stayed until further review, fined in the amount of $200 plus costs, and granted time to pay. Davis' other charge of Burglary was dismissed on motion of the People.
    Neal Gregory Corley, 53, of Beardstown was charged with Domestic Battery. The charge was dismissed with leave to reinstate on motion of the People.
    Garret M. Pate, 26, of Beardstown pleaded guilty to the charges of Theft Under $300 with a prior conviction and Aggravated Battery in a Public Place. Pate was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with one year Mandatory Supervised Release, given credit for 14 days served, ordered to pay all court costs and granted time to pay on the Theft charge and placed on 24 months probation, said probation to start upon his release from the Illinois Department of Corrections, sentenced to 51 days jail with credit for 51 days served, ordered to pay all court costs, and granted time to pay on the Battery charge. Pate's other charges of Burglary and an additional Aggravated Battery in a Public Place were dismissed on motion of the People.
    Zachery A. Hager, 30, of Virginia pleaded guilty to the charge of Criminal Damage to Property over $300 but less than $10,000. Hager was sentenced to 18 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections with one year Mandatory Supervised Release, given credit for 21 days served, ordered to pay all court costs, and granted time to pay. Hager's other charge of Disorderly Conduct was dismissed on motion of the People.
    Daylon D. Cooper, 22, of Beardstown pleaded guilty to the charges of Retail Theft Under $300, Possession of Cannabis Over 10 Grams but Under 30 Grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Cooper was fined in the amount of $500 plus costs on the Theft charge, fined $200 plus costs on the Possession of Cannabis charge, and fined $750 total on the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge, and granted time to pay.
    Timothy A. Hacker, 33, of Beardstown pleaded guilty to the charges of Possession of Methamphetamine Under 5 Grams and Delivery of Methamphetamine Under 5 Grams. Hacker was sentenced to 3.5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with one year Mandatory Supervised Release, given credit for 70 days served, ordered to pay all court costs, and granted time to pay on the charge of Possession of Methamphetamine Under 5 Grams and sentenced to 3.5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections with two years Mandatory Supervised Release, given credit for 70 days served, ordered to pay all court costs, and granted time to pay on the charge of Delivery of Methamphetamine Under 5 Grams; said sentences to be served concurrently. Hacker's other charges of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Under 15 Grams, Possession of Cannabis Under 2.5 Grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were dismissed on motion of the People.
    Alvin W. Baughman, 51, of Havana was charged with Felony Driving While License Revoked; said charge was dismissed on motion of the People.
    Rogelio De La Cruz Bernardo, 31, of Beardstown pleaded guilty to the charges of Battery and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. De La Cruz Bernardo was placed on 12 months probation, sentenced to 61 days jail with credit for 61 days served, fined in the amount of $250 plus costs, and granted time to pay on the Battery charge. He was sentenced to 61 days jail with credit for 61 days served, fined in the amount of $500 plus costs, and granted time to pay on the Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol charge. De La Cruz Bernardo's other charges of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Without a Valid Driver's License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving Without a License were dismissed on motion by the state’s attorney office.
