A reflection of your true self

    Greetings from the Ridge.
A town the size of Coonridge can’t afford to lose a single business, but this week we lost our longest tenured establishment as Freda Pressly shut her doors for good. I doubt that there’s a family in our little town who doesn’t have at least one framed photograph from the Pressly studios, as Freda and her departed husband Leon were the town’s official photographers since the 1950s. Every young high school graduate made a trip to Leon and Freda’s studio for a graduation picture, and if you wanted a truly professional family portrait, then it had to be done at Pressly’s. Brides would schedule their weddings only having first consulted with the little black book that Freda kept on her desk. And now, thanks to politics, we no longer have a town photographer.
