The Father who is looking for you

Dear Editor,
In recent weeks we have published stories about traffic jams on the bridge due to one way traffic. As a result of those traffic jams, patience is wearing thin for many, especially early mornings and late afternoons when people are commuting back and forth to work.
This weekend I broke out the kiddie pool for my two young children. They wanted to play outside, but the weather was warm, so I thought some water to splash in would be perfect! It was one of those little easy “Dad wins” that make you feel like with just a little effort brings about a huge payoff.
It looked like this has been a very productive morel mushroom season. At least there were a lot of pictures and selling on Facebook.

One of the most unfortunate missteps of countless English translations of the Bible takes place at the empty tomb. It’s a completely understandable misstep but unfortunate nonetheless.
In the last decade or more, I have seen some major changes in how we as human beings treat one another. Certainly, our nation has a history when it comes to people being treated poorly because of their race, beliefs, lifestyles, economic status and anything else that might be different than what many believe the norm should be.
This is an important year for me, at least I think so. In a few months I will be 80 years old. Personally, I think that’s pretty special.
National Nurses Week is celebrated every year from May 6th through May 12th. The conclusion on May 12 marks Florence Nightingale’s birthday.
