Chandlerville Fire Department has been awarded an equipment grant from the Cass Morgan Farm Bureau. CMFB funds an annual grant program that provides valuable funds for local public safety organizations. Grant funds were used to purchase water rescue equipment six personal flotation devices, six rescue helmets, a 20-inch life ring, and two fifty-foot rescue throw ropes which can all be used for water rescue equipment. The Illinois State Board of Education has recognized Virginia Elementary as Exemplary, a top 10% school, according to the 2024 Illinois School Report Card. "We are honored that Virginia Elementary has been recognized as an Exemplary School. Over the past few years, the district has been committed to leveraging federal funding to enhance our curriculum, invest in staff professional development, and empower our students through leadership opportunities via the Leader in Me framework.
