Cass County Housing Authority receives funds from CARES Act

The Cass County Housing Authority will receive $17,103 under the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations (CARES) Act authorized by Congress, according to a press release from Congressman Darin LaHood (R-IL).

The colors of spring

The trees are leafing out and the fruit trees are blooming. We have colors of red, white and pink. It makes for a beautiful scene. I just got to see my daughter and son-in-law who came Sunday and helped mow. Everything looks neat.

The changing face of education

In a matter of days, education as we knew it shifted in a way no one expected. Normally, it would have been the last quarter of the academic year with spring sports, proms, concerts, graduation plans and students’ last efforts to boost their grades for the year. Those plans, however, have for the most part gone by the wayside
