Illinois Wesleyan University’s Dean’s List for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year consisted of 812 students from 29 states and 27 countries . To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a GPA of 3.50 or better during the semester, based on 4.0 for straight As.

Beardstown farmer wins National Award in Soybean Yield Contest

Beardstown, IL, farmer Jarod Stock was recently honored among the region’s highest-producing soybean farmers in the 2024 Asgrow ® Brand National Yield Contest. Stock won the award with an impressive yield of 103 bushels per acre with Asgrow AG33XF3 Brand.

Beardstown Board swears in new members

New members of the Beardstown School Board were sworn in at its regular meeting May 21. The board approved the results of the April 1, 2025 election of the “new” Board of Education members. The board then adjourned.
