Social isolation, whether voluntary or involuntary, can cause an increased risk of financial exploitation for seniors.
Joseph J. Torres, 28, Beardstown, was picked up on June 13 on a Cass County warrant for Contempt of court. He posted $200 bond and was released with new court date.

The Ashland Village Board approved a road program contract for work and materials on village streets. The award went to Illinois Road Contractors of Jacksonville for $67,400.
