New sprinkler system for Art Zeeck Park

Following a discussion on whether to repair or replace the sprinkler system at Art Zeeck Park, Beardstown City Council unanimously agreed to replace the old system at a cost of $22,460 at the June 3 meeting. Repairing the current 25-year-old sprinkler system would have cost $5,000 for two years.

International Teachers Program sends teacher from Barcelona to Beardstown

Most everyone has heard of the Foreign Exchange Student program, but how many has heard of the Foreign Exchange Teacher program? The Illinois State Board of Education and the Spanish Ministry of Education have partnered for over 25 years to facilitate a cultural exchange by supporting and managing the Visiting International Teachers Program. Beardstown CUSD #15 became part of this program during the 2022-2023 school year.
