Bridget Ann Dambacher, 48, Virginia, died Saturday, May 28, 2022, at her home.
She was born May 25, 1974, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Diane Garver Dambacher.
She is survived by her three children, Hannah, Ben and Ellie, all of Virginia; her parents, James and Diane Dambacher of Virginia; maternal grandmother, Betty Garver of Virginia; three sisters, and one brother, Amy (Dustin) Fritsche and their children, Kevin, Abby and Charlie, all of Virginia, Mary Dambacher and her daughter, Erowynn, both of Salt Lake City, UT, Michelle (Brian) Hughes and their children, Olivia, Adelynn and Trenton, all of Virginia, and Ross (Cali) Dambacher of Virginia; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is also survived by one dog, eight cats, four goats and a pony.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Garver, Sr. and paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Dambacher.
Bridget was a 1992 graduate of Virginia High School where she was on the cheerleading squad and volleyball team and was homecoming queen. She later earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University. She had been an administrative assistant at Virginia High School for ten years. She served on the Cass County Fair Board and was superintendent of the Home Ec Building. She also served on the Virginia BBQ Committee, was a 4-H leader, served on various committees at Virginia High School, and was bookkeeper for the junior high and high school volleyball teams. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Virginia. She was an amateur photographer and loved taking pictures. Bridget’s biggest accomplishment was her commitment to her family.
A funeral Mass was celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Virginia, with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cass County 4-H Fair Association or Virginia Sports Boosters.
