Hymes does Beardstown proud

Beardstown’s Liam Hymes races on a slick and muddy course at the IESA State Finals Meet.

Although it was not the final result that he had hoped for, Beardstown eighth grader Liam Hymes did the town proud with his finish at the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 2A Cross Country State Championship Meet last Saturday.

Trains are turning over with chemicals which start big fires, the weather has been so unpredictable and harsh in many places, and the conflicts between countries seem to be increasing. Lady Redbirds win tourney

With a 21 to 20 win over the host Pretzels, the Virginia Lady Redbird 8th grade girls’ basketball team won the New Berlin Tournament.  The win brought the 8th grade squad’s record to 7 and 1 on the season.
