AADM Airborne Team attend USTA Initational

The AADM Airborne Team attended an USTA Invitational meet at the EXPO Bend facility in East Moline on Nov. 5th.  

This meet was an open invitational meet, hosting 20 clubs.  There were 32 athletes from the Airborne team that competed in 93 events total on tumbling, trampoline, and double mini.  Seventy-seven percent of these athletes placed in the top five in their events, overall placings for team finals was not posted at this meet, and 106 event scores earned a 9.0 or higher in scoring (out of a 10).  A team challenge that

Students, staff, and community members of Virginia were able to enjoy a Veteran’s day assembly at the high school on Friday, November 10th.  During the assembly students from the local FFA chapter were the honor guard in charge of raising the flag.  Select students in 6-12 had speaking roles where they gave a short presentation on the history of the major branches.  The elementary students lead the school in the “National Anthem” and “America the Beautiful.”

New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Ashland has been the Drop Off Center for Operation Christmas Child for shoeboxes in Cass County. 

     Karla DeVries of Pittsfield, Two Rivers Area Coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, and her husband, Bob DeVries, Central Drop-off Team Leader, recently presented a plaque in recognition the church’s 10 years of partnership with Operation Christmas Child.
