Lawsons to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
Jim and Evelyn Lawson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 4.
They were married June 4, 1955 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church at Brussels by the Rev. E.A. Dautenhahn.
Jim is the son of the late Marian Lawson and the late Trent and Vivian Lawson. Evelyn is the daughter of the late Earl and Tillie Wilschetz.
They are the parents of five children: Rick (wife, Stephanie) of Beardstown; Debbie (husband, Adin) Sloan of Arizona; Jan (husband, Mike) Moore of Rushville; Evie (husband, Dan) Conrad of Quincy; and Jeff (wife, Vici) of Beardstown.
They have eleven grandchildren: Ricky Lawson of Quincy; Justin Lawson of Beardstown; Dean Sloan and Becky Fisher of Arizona; Brian Moore of Quincy; Jim Moore of Rushville and Jennier Briney of North Carolina; D.J. Conrad, Luke Conrad and Jessica Cornwell of Quincy; and Greg Conrad, deceased.
They have 18 great-grandchildren: Morgan and Drayke Sloan; Hank Fisher; Jansen, Cameron and Ty Lawson; Hallie and Harper Lawson; Payten, Paige, Piper and Paisley Moore; Jett Moore and Ashyten; Taten, Clare and Norah Conrad and Kennedy Cornwell.
Jim was a construction worker, retiring from Petersburg Plumbing and Heating in 1995, and Evelyn is a homemaker.
