Amanda Jo Rhoads, 36, Ashland,  died at 2:46 a.m. on Saturday,  July 24, 2021 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  
    She was born on July 25, 1984, in Paris, IL, the daughter of Stephen Joseph and Gloria Jeane (Field) Rhoads.  
    She is survived by her father, Joe Rhoads, of Ashland; one daughter, Caray Jo Rhoads, of Ashland; one brother, Stephen J (Angie) Rhoads of Fredericksburg, VA; one sister, Wendy Prater of Fredericksburg, VA; five nieces and nephews, Chrystal Haselett; Marcos Gonzalez; Grace Young; Lilian Rhoads; Wyatt Prater
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria and her grandparents; Bob & Rosalie Towel and Donald & Mary Jane Rhoads.
    Amanda graduated from A-C Central High School with the Class of 2002.  She attended Judson College in Elgin. She was a teacher’s aide with the A-C Central School District. She was a member of the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Ashland.  She enjoyed singing and doing arts and crafts.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021 at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Ashland. (201 E. Buchanan St. Ashland). The Rev. Darin Peterson will officiate.  Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Hart Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the church.  
    Memorials may be designated to New Beginnings Christian Fellowship or St. John’s Breadline in Springfield.
