A two-vehicle crash strikes utility pole

A two-vehicle crash on April 10 struck a utility pole which Ameren had to replace. According to a Beardstown Police report, Dillon McNeff, Beardstown, was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi northbound on Canal Street when he failed to yield right of way and struck a 1994 Ford pickup truck driven by Carlos E. Arrocha Borraz who was westbound on 9th Street. Both vehicles then slid into the utility pole. Both drivers were transported to the hospital. Photo Beardstown Volunteer Fire Department
