The Illinois State Board of Education has recognized Virginia Elementary as Exemplary, a top 10% school, according to the 2024 Illinois School Report Card.
"We are honored that Virginia Elementary has been recognized as an Exemplary School. Over the past few years, the district has been committed to leveraging federal funding to enhance our curriculum, invest in staff professional development, and empower our students through leadership opportunities via the Leader in Me framework. This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our entire school community, " stated Superintendent Mekelle Neathery.
