James Herbert Page, 82, Beardstown died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1941, in Springfield, the son of Joe Jay Page and Viola Henrietta Graff.

    He is survived by his son, James Page, Jr. Beardstown; his sister, Joan (Bill) Spencer, Pleasant Plains, and his grandson, Ryan (Erica) Lashbrook, Rushville, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by daughter, Julie Ann Lashbrook, and his siblings, Michael J. Page, Joe Page, Debbi Page, Sandra Loyd, and Carol Jo Page.

     James worked in shipping at Oscar Mayer, and then eventually worked at Revenue in Springfield. James was a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment as a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, Illinois Rifle Association, and The Schuyler County Shooters. He also enjoyed watching westerns and action movies..

    The family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
