Beverly A. Davidsmeyer, 86, Jacksonville, died Monday, December 12, 2022, in Springfield.
She was born on July 10, 1936, in Beardstown, the daughter of Ronald and Velma Shouse Marshall. She married Dr. James R. Davidsmeyer on October 10, 1998, in Cabool, MO. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2019.
She is survived by her children: Pamela (Gerhardt) Runkel, of Fishers, IN, Dr. Thomas (Vicki) Loughary, of Murrayville, Cathy Turner, of Auburn; step-children: Sharon (Al Runion) Davidsmeyer, of Rochester, Jim (Peggy) Davidsmeyer, Jacksonville, Janet (Steve) Dunker, Rochester, MN, Brenda (Jay) Johnson, Wheaton, Linda (Tracy) Hageman, Quincy, Paul (Amy) Davidsmeyer, of Beardstown; grandchildren. Brian (Tiffany) Turner, Thomas “Mic” (Tracy Trowbridge) Loughary, Matthew Runkel, Paige (Dallas) Dibkey, great-grandchildren: Hailey Turner, Mason Turner; and cousins, Judith Allen, Grand Junction, CO and Connie Gill, St. Charles.
Beverly graduated from Beardstown High School in 1954. She later worked as an office manager. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and cooking. She was also a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jacksonville.
A funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Sager Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Beardstown City Cemetery.
