Mildred “Millie” Rose Musgrove entered her heavenly home at the age of 99, on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

She was born on February 27, 1923, to Valentine Martin Keiper and Anna Kathryn Schirm.

She graduated from Beardstown High School with the Class of 1940, and married John Milton Musgrove in La Junta, CO on October 22, 1943. Millie and John operated Beardstown Hardware and Millie’s Gifts for 38 years.

Millie was devoted to her church, St. John’s Lutheran in Beardstown, where she sang in the choir and served as a Sunday School Supt. for many years.

Surviving are one daughter, Peggy (Doug) Hardwick of Normal; one son, John (Toni) Musgrove of East Peoria; eight grandchildren: Allison Adkins Schurman, Douglas Hardwick, Marcus Adkins, Joseph Adkins, Andi Hardwick, Will Musgrove, Samantha Hardwick Fahrner, and Jessie Musgrove Smith; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Lois Fischer and Jeanne Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She has been reunited in heaven with her husband John; daughter, Nancy; brother, Edwin Keiper, and sisters, Gertie Phelps and Doris Tolle.

A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, in Beardstown, at 11:00 a.m, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, with Rev. Kettner officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beardstown. Condolences may be left online at www.sagerfuneralhome.com.
