Dolores Joann Gouran, 84,  Jacksonville and formerly of Beardstown, died on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Heritage Health in Beardstown.

She was born on June 9, 1937 in rural Cass County, IL the daughter of Virgil E. & Florence Tucker Bowman.

She is survived by one daughter, Christine (Larry) Carter of Jacksonville and one son, John Edward Derry, Jr. of Chinook, MT; several grandchildren; great grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She is also survived by three sisters, Linda (Ron) Meinert of Leavenworth, KS, Susan (Dennis) Kirkhan of Gaston, SC, and Cindy (Larry) Durst of Meredosia; one brother, Virgil (Joyce) Bowman of Trivoli, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Bowman; one son; and three sisters; Nancy Emerick, Betty Ballard, and Donna Campbell.

Dolores worked as a Home Health Coordinator with the Department of Mental Health and with the Cass County Home Health Department as a supervisor throughout her career.

She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flowers.  Most of all though, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date with burial at the Beardstown City Cemetery.
