Pearl Elaine Fox, 77, of Peoria died Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at her residence.

She was born September 26, 1944, in Beardstown the daughter of Veron and Pearl Gravens Mayes.

She married Harold Fox December 24, 1966;  and he preceded her in death September 26, 2012. Her parents and brothers, Veron Mayes, Danny Mayes, Larry Mayes and Terry Mayes also preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Melinda Sherrill of Florida; and Kristy Fox of Peoria; one son, Veron Sherrill of Peoria;  step-son, Allen Fox  (Michelle) of Bakersfield, CA; step-daughter, Rhonda Fox of Havana; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Melissa (Juan) Sanchez of Beardstown; two brothers, Fred (Mary) Mayes of Peoria,; and Stacey (Diane) Mayes of Beardstown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pearl worked for Tony’s Market in Peoria prior to retiring.

She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and the outdoors. She was a member of the Eagles Club #26. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, whether it was on TV or the radio you could bet she was watching or listening.

Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
