Lena Marie Alcorn, 74, Beardstown, died Monday, January 17, 2022 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 18, 1947 in Beardstown, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Hull Scheer.

She is survived by her son Matt (wife Brittany) Alcorn of Beardstown; her granddaughter, who was her pride and joy, Adalynn; a sister, Nancy Phillips of Beardstown; two nephews, Robert (wife Brittany) and James (wife Julie) Cowan; one great niece; and two great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two children in infancy Jason and Patrick.

Lena graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1965. She worked at IGA and was a homemaker. She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Beardstown and was instrumental in organizing and cooking many meals for various clubs and organizations that utilized the fellowship hall. Lena enjoyed crocheting and crafting. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
