Robert E. Coats, 89, of Houston, TX, formerly of Beardstown, died January 7, 2022 at his home.

He was born on January 7, 1933 near Arcadia, to Harry and Willia Coats. They both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were brothers, Will, Milt, Herb, Jack, Lannie, Russ, and Harry and sisters, Dorothy and Joyce. Two daughters, Barbara Jean and Debbie preceded him in death as well.

Surviving to mourn his passing are his brother, Jim; sons, Bob and Mike, and daughters, Cindy, Jackie, and Kim. Numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict era. He was a wonderful teacher of humility, hard work, and brotherly love.

As per his wishes, no services will be held.
