Alfred Charles Weishaar, 82, of Beardstown, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at his home.
He was born May 26, 1938, in Browning, the son of the late Frankie Charles and Isla May Lane Weishaar. He married Fannie Knous on May 7, 1960, in Browning.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Weishaar of Beardstown; two daughters, Jamie (husband Randy) Epping and Sherry Herter, both of Beardstown; his son, Frankie Weishaar of O’Fallon, MO; four grandchildren, Travis (wife Dre) Epping, Adam (wife Chelsey) Herter, Alyssa (husband Remi) VandeVoorde, Lyndsey Weishaar; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Stambaugh of Browning; and a brother, James Weishaar of Rushville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wanda Weishaar and Betty Winston, his son-in-law, Chuck Herter, and a daughter-in-law, Lorie Weishaar.
Alfred attended school in Browning. He was a commercial fisherman most of his life. He also worked at the Beardstown Mill until it closed, construction, and was a dredge operator. He enjoyed pole and line fishing, duck hunting, and watching car races. Alfred had an unconditional love for his family.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Browning Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
