The Beardstown Fall Fun Festival Committee will be selling pork chop sandwiches on Friday, May 24 as a fund raiser for the festival. The stand will be located in the 100 block of West Main Street in Beardstown.
Pork chop sandwiches, brats and baked goods will be sold starting at 4 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening.


May 25
Beardstown Heritage Preservation Foundation will dedicate the elevator in the Grand Opera House, 123 State Street, Saturday, May 25 at 1 p.m. The dedication will be in honor of Dr. Harold Fisher, founder of the Heritage Preservation Foundation.
There will also be an art show from 1-4 p.m. in the upstairs theatre. Anyone wishing to display their art should contact one of the members or call 323-5303 or 217-617-3944.
Harold Tyson, author of Images of America: Beardstown, will be present for a book signing during the art show, beginning at 1:30 p.m.


May 25
The Beardstown High School Alumni Association will hold its 138th Alumni Meeting and Banquet in the Commons Area of Beardstown High School. Fellowship hour begins at 5 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6 p.m. The annual gathering follows at the Elks Club, who is providing a band (60s & 70s, and a little bit of country).


June 7 &?8
The Virginia BBQ is scheduled for June 7th and 8th with a Little Miss and Queen contest on Friday. Besides continuous entertainment all weekend.


June 8
The Chandlerville Alumni Association will be holding its annual alumni banquet  at the W. W. Mullen Gymnasium in Chandlerville. All graduates of Chandlerville High School and A-C Central High School are invited to attend. The banquet will be held at 6:30 p.m.


June 12
Tractor Day at Round Barn Area Museums. Antique tractor drive, farm toy displays at the Adams County Olde Tyme Association at the Round Barn and the Retired Teachers of Adams County at the One Room School. Contact Dan Ellwood, 224-2976 or Mark Frericks at 222-2017 with questions.
