Beardstown Police:
Warrants
An arrest warrant was received for Nicklas Schwalb, 20, of Beardstown on a charge of failure to appear on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident. Schwalb was arrested on June 10 at 6:56 a.m. at Flowers Auto Body and held in the Schuyler County Jail. At the time of his arrest, he was cited for driving while license suspended and was given notice to appear in court June 24.
A Cass County arrest warrant and a Morgan County arrest warrant were received for Charles E. Jarrett, 41, of Meredosia. The Cass County warrant is for failure to pay or appear on charges of forgery, criminal trespass to residence, residential burglary, deceptive practice, and theft over $300. The Morgan County warrant is for failure to appear on a charge of driving while license revoked. Jarrett was arrested June 12 and held in the Schuyler County Jail.
An arrest warrant was received for Dallas A. Livingston, 24, on a charge of failure to appear on a charge of driving on a revoked license. Livingston was arrested June 13 and posted bond.
An arrest warrant was received for Keena Johnson, 45, on a charge of failure to appear. Johnson was arrested.
An arrest warrant was received for Magda Avalos, 28, on a charge of failure to appear on a charge of driving while license suspended. Avalos was arrested and posted $150 bond.
Meth
Renee J. Hollis, 35, of Beardstown was cited for violation of the meth and community protection act (unlawful use of property) as a result of a June 8 drug bust at 910 Wall St. Hollis was arrested and held without bond in the Schuyler County Jail and was given notice to appear in court July 7. Beardstown Police Chief Roy Hurst said he was going to “enforce the heck” out of the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act’s prohibition on allowing property to be used in meth production.
Domestic battery
Michael B. Smith of Beardstown was cited for domestic battery on June 16 at 8 a.m. Smith was arrested and held without bond in the Schuyler County Jail and was given notice to appear in court July 14.
Drug possession
Byron L. Cooper, 27, of Beardstown was cited for possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol on June 13 at 11:18 p.m. at 8th and Washington and was given notice to appear in court July 7.
Underage drinking
Michael J. Varley, 19, of Bath, was cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor on June 14 at 1:18 a.m. at the river overlook and was given notice to appear in court July 7.
DUI
Melinda R. Oesch, 39, of Beardstown, was cited for aggravated DUI, DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle, and illegal transportation of alcohol on June 9 at 3:33 a.m. on Rte. 125 near Boulevard Rd. and was given notice to appear in court July 8.
Traffic Offenses
Andrea Avendano Cruz, 20, of Beardstown was cited for driving while license suspended on June 12 at 6:46 p.m. at 505 W. 7th St. and was given notice to appear in court July 8.
Romualdo Correa Ortiz of Beardstown was cited for driving while license suspended on June 13 at 7:23 p.m. at 15th and Wall and was given notice to appear in court July 8.
Lazaro J. Laureiro, 29, of Beardstown was cited for driving while license suspended on June 16 at 12:59 a.m. at 206 Washington St. and was given notice to appear in court July 22.
Cody M.G. Hammer, 22, of Mt. Sterling was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle on June 7 at 10:40 p.m. at 4th and Jefferson and was given verbal warnings for expired registration and no rear registration light and was given notice to appear in court July 8.
Cody L. Koontz, 24, of O’Fallon, was cited for operating an uninsured vehicle on June 6 at 7:05 p.m. at 19th and Jackson and was given notice to appear in court June 24.
Dario Rodriguez Estrada, 23, of Beardstown was cited for disobeying a stop sign and given a verbal warning for speeding on June 15 at 1:58 a.m. at 15th and Monroe.
Accidents
A traffic accident occurred on June 13 on Rte. 125 involving vehicles driven by a 16-yr. old Beardstown individual and Philip J. Scherer, 61, of Peoria.

A traffic accident occurred on June 15 involving vehicles driven by Adriene N. Veneble, 26, of Beardstown and Kevin L. Marshal, 36, of Camden.
A traffic accident occurred on June 12 involving vehicles driven by Orvialino Montero, 51, and Catherine A. Folks, 65, both of Beardstown.
A traffic accident occurred on June 14 at 11:52 p.m. in the Family Video parking lot involving vehicles driven by Josue Domingo Sebastian and George E. Bucy Jr., both of Beardstown.
A traffic accident occurred on June 12 at 7:05 p.m. at Roy Roberts Park involving vehicles driven by William J. Hamlin and Ronnie A. Burgett, both of Beardstown.
Animal running loose
Maribel Nunez De Guijosa of 1412 Monroe St. was cited for a dog running loose in violation of the Beardstown City Code on June 13 at 6:23 p.m. and was fined $200.
Brandon L. Parrent of 909 Monroe St. was cited for an animal running loose in violation of the Beardstown City Code on June 15 at 9:38 p.m. and was fined $250.
Cass County Sheriff’s Office:
Domestic Battery
Eric L. Seward, 51, of Beardstown was arrested for domestic battery on June 15.
Anthony Z. Altig, 33, of Chandlerville, was arrested for domestic battery on June 12.
Drug possession
Zane S. Ritter-Kyes, 25, of Oakford, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, two counts DUI, no registration lights, and illegal transportation of alcohol on June 13.
Underage drinking
Jesus Edgardo Ruiz-Gonzalez, 18, and Luis Gerardo Sanchez-Hernandez, 20, were cited for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. In the same incident, Juan Carlos Vasquez-Ruiz was cited for no valid driver’s license and failure to dim headlights when required,        
Speeding
Deion J. Summers, 21, of Beardstown was cited for speeding on June 9.
