The death of a man living near Chandlerville was attributed to hypothermia after a search team found his body near a creek bed half way between Chandlerville and Virginia.


Fifty-nine year old Steven Hildts was found about 300 yards from where he was living by the Central Illinois Search and Rescue Team only a couple of hours after the search began.
The search team brought 30 volunteers and two dogs.
According to reports, Hildts suffered from dementia and confusion.
