Beardstown’s Lady Tigers dropped a pair of games recently one to B/P-City, Thursday night to the highly regarded Havana Lady Ducks 61-21. This Monday they were routed by South Fulton 63-27.
Triopia downed archrival Jacksonville Routt 52-37. Mackenzie Miller led the Lady Blue with 10 points.

BHS vs. Havana
The highly regarded and unbeaten Lady Ducks (7-0) ran roughshod over the Lady Tigers by a 61-21 lop-sided score. BHS did not have a single player in double figures and were led by Aileana Rawlins with eight. Havana’s Elly Bonnett paced the winners with 14, knocking down four three-bangers.
The contest was all but over after one period when the visitors ran off to a commanding 19-4 margin and never looked back in the 61-21 beatdown. Bonnett counted eight of her game high 14 in the opening frame. Havana led 37-11 at the intermission. Summer Lindsey had all six of her game points in the second stanza when Havana outdistanced the O&B 18-7.
Coach Jerry Wilson substituted freely throughout the contest with the Lady Ducks outscoring the locals 24-10 after the rest stop. The Maroon and White won the third frame 18-6, and in the final fling edged out the locals 6-4 for the final of 61-21.

BHS vs. South Fulton
The Lady Tigers hit the road this past Monday night traveling to Astoria where they were overwhelmed by the Lady Rebels by a 63-27 final. Aileana Rawlins led the O&B with 11 points, while South Fulton placed three players in double digits, led by Perry’s 18, with Burgard scoring 11, and Crouse 10.
South Fulton raced out to a 14-6 lead after one period of play, counting four from Perry, including one from downtown. The Lady Rebels were 7-of-8 from the line in the first quarter. The O&B (0-7) got baskets from Morgan Davidsmeier, Loraina Trujillo, and Nancy Madrid.
The hosts exploded for 21 points in the second stanza, while holding the locals to just three points, a three-banger by Rawlins, BHS trailed 36-9 at the end of the second stop. Crouse with a pair of triples, and one from Perry led the 21-point surge.
Things didn’t get much better in the third frame as the Lady Rebels continued to bury the locals with a 22-point outburst, again Perry with seven points, paced the South Fulton onslaught. Rawlins came to life for the Lady Tigers scoring six points on three baskets, as the O&B trailed 57-18 heading home.
Beardstown managed to outscore the hosts, who substituted freely in the final get-go, with BHS using a 9-6 difference to run the final score to 63-27. Maddie Fox connected on a trey while Summer Lindsey, Franny Zepeda, and Rawlins all had a bucket apiece for the O&B.
The hosts enjoyed a 4-1 advantage from beyond the arc, and a 15-1 difference at the charity stripe. BHS was guilty of 12 personals and the Lady Rebels only five.

Triopia vs. Routt
The Lady Trojans are off to a good start (6-1) adding a 52-37 win over arch-rival Jacksonville Routt last week. Mackenzie Miller led the Lady Blue with 10, while Routt’s Schwirdisrski led all scorers in the contest with 21.
The Lady Blue jumped out front with a 16-6 blitz of the Lady Rockets in the opening quarter. They continued to hold Routt at bay with a 12-6 difference in the second stanza to lead 28-12 at the midway break.
After the intermission the third period saw both teams pick up their intensity with the Lady Blue slipping past Routt 18-16, to take a comfortable 46-28 margin into the final frame.
Routt did manage to outscore Triopia in the final fling 9-6 with the Trojans walking off the floor the 52-27 victors.
The Lady Trojans had a solid night from the field as they swished 20 of 41 attempts for a sizzling for 48.8%. They were just 6-of-14 from the line, and they collected 39 rebounds.
