“Christmas in Virginia” is just a week away and there are plenty of activities planned around the square. Save the Date, Friday, December 6 from 4:30 to 10 p.m. VHS FFA kicks it off with a brat-pork chop fry from 4 to 9 p.m. in front of IGA. Post prom will serve a soup supper with dessert at St. Luke Hall starting at 4:30 p.m.


The Third annual lighted Christmas parade begins at 7 p.m. on the Square followed by the Second Annual Pie Auction at Dr. Ugs Drugstore Cafe at 8 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church, 281 E. Hardin, will host its cookie walk from 4 - 9 p.m. Cookies and candy will be for sale.
Reed the Elf has come all the way from the North Pole to help celebrate Christmas in Virginia at the Virginia Memorial Public Library. Stop in and have your picture taken with her, listen to stories, write a letter to Santa and enjoy cookies and crafts from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Story times at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Eastside is hosting the Silent Wreath Auction to raise money for the Needy Children's Fund. Bidding occurs until 9 p.m. with winners announced between 9 & 9:30 p.m. Wreaths will be available for viewing from November 29 until 9 p.m. December 6.
Vendors will be located all around the square beginning at 4:30 p.m., so Christmas shopping couldn't be easier. Come out and enjoy a home town celebration with friends and family to kick off the holiday season.
