This is the eighth year that Mike Logsdon, his friends and family have put a haunted house in the driveway at 1208 Jefferson in Beardstown.
This year he is suggesting that the community get together and have some fun and help a couple of good causes. He is asking that you donate a dollar for the water park fund or a non-perishable food item for the Cass County Food Pantry in exchange for a trip through the 12 to 13 haunted rooms.
The haunted house will be open from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday, October 31. Kate Crusader will be in costume and the first child that says, “Save us, Kate Crusader,” gets a free toy.
Mike said he would like to make it even better next year and hold it for several days ahead of Halloween. This would take another location and community volunteers and their support.
