Megan B. Zimny, AKBD, has been selected as one of the 30 Under 30 recipients by The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) for the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2014 (KBIS®), to be held Feb. 4-6 in Las Vegas.
Megan Zimny is the owner of The Kitchen & Floor Shoppe, a full-service kitchen and bath design firm located in Beardstown. Her business is founded upon her lifelong passion for design, along with offering her clients creative design solutions and hands-on service. Megan is a 2006 graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design and later earned her Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer certification (AKBD). Zimny also co-designed a showroom display that was awarded second place in the 2008 NKBA Art of the Industry Design Competition. Dedication and an appreciation for this industry have allowed her to be successful and to continue fulfilling her goals as a kitchen and bath designer.
“I am extremely honored to have been selected for this opportunity. It is a huge milestone in my career and I can’t wait to see the new products and trends at KBIS 2014 that allow me to advance even further.”
The goal of the NKBA 30 Under 30 Program is to acknowledge outstanding young professionals, while helping these individuals to immerse and apply themselves to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.
On Thursday, February 6, 2014, the group of 30 young professionals will present their findings on the Las Vegas show floor in a featured speaker presentation for KBIS 2014 Conference attendees. They will share the results of their explorations and answer questions from the audience.
