Would you like a new to you car for only $10? Virginia's Square One, Inc. is selling raffle tickets to win a 1984 Oldsmobile Omega with only 65,000 miles for $10 a ticket. A lovely, well maintained car that would be perfect for that student driver going off to college or for mom or dad for that matter. Tickets can be purchased from any board member or at Petefish, Skiles & Co. Bank, Dr. Ugs Drugstore Cafe, Virginia Inn Antiques & Such and any local business displaying the poster in their window. The winner will be announced on February 22. All proceeds will go toward renovation of the Virginia Community Center.
The Virginia Memorial Public Library wants to celebrate Halloween with you. Come to the library on Saturday, October 26 from 10-11:30 a.m. for a morning of treats, crafts and spooky stories. Refreshments will be served and costumes are optional.
Halloween Trick or Treating for Virginia has been set for Thursday, October 31 from 4-9 p.m. Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween.
Volunteer Virginia will host its next meeting on Monday, November 4 at 6 p.m. at Virginia City Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The Virginia Christian Women's Fellowship will host a Veterans Breakfast for Virginia Area Veterans and surviving spouses at St. Luke Hall on Saturday, November 9 at 8:30 a.m.  Please call 452-3371 for reservations.
The Christmas in Virginia third annual Lighted Christmas Parade is looking for float entries. The parade will be at 7 p.m. Friday, December 6 and this year's theme is “Christmas Vacation.” Contact Kristin at 452-3041 to sign up by November 29.
