National 4-H week off to a great start PDF Print E-mail

River Valley 4-H club is off to a busy start of the 4-H year. The club held a kickoff meeting in September, electing officers for the present 4-H year. Our new officers are: president- Emma Bennett, vice president- Britta Wubker, treasurer- Landon Wubker, secretary- Lydia Davidsmeier, and reporter- Beth Warden.
4-H members worked with the Tiger Pride committee to plant flowers at the Fallen Soldier’s memorial.
The scrapbook committee met September 21 and completed the past year’s scrapbook.
River Valley entered a float in the Fall Fun Festival Parade showcasing baby calves, corn, and pumpkins homegrown on family farms.
River Valley 4-H club members decorated a 4-H window display at Beardstown’s Grand Opera House commemorating National 4-H week, October 6-12. Stop by and see the window!
The annual 4-H wiener roast will be held Saturday, October 19.
