Written by julie

Roger Jennings began his career in the auto industry business in 1946, when the Palmyra store opened. In 1989 he added the Hillsboro store, and in 1999 he opened his third store, Jennings, Inc. of Beardstown. Jennings also has a used car lot in Springfield, and owns two car washes.
Jennings, Inc. of Beardstown will be holding a Grand Opening of the new state of the art facility in the former Wal-Mart Building here in Beardstown during the last week of August.
The ultra-spacious building was completely renovated from the old Wal-Mart store and consists of 60,000 square feet which houses several individual sales rooms, reception desk, general manager and sales manager offices, plus the secretary and comptroller offices. The building also houses a completely new service department, with a spacious waiting room area for customers, including a flat screen TV.
According to owner Roger Jennings, they have nine sales people to greet and take care of customers, 12 persons are employed in the up-to-date service department, giving Jennings, Inc. approximately 25 employees.
The spacious resurfaced parking lot covers 60,000 square feet and will park up to 300 autos. There is also a staging area inside the building capable of holding 75 cars during inclimate weather. There will be 12 to 15 autos on the showroom floor at all times.
“The Beardstown area has been very supportive of our  new endeavor, and our sales have been very good since we have made the move to our new quarters,” stated Jennings. “We have made a huge investment here in Beardstown, and we believe you won’t find another facility any better than ours from Chicago to St. Louis. We are confident that it will pay big dividends for not only for us but for the entire Beardstown community”.
The Jennings, Inc. staff invites everyone to stop by and take a “Cook’s Tour” of the new facilities during their Grand Opening.
Sometimes bigger is better!
