Original 427 Shelby Cobra Mustang to be on display at Jennings Grand Opening PDF Print E-mail

By Don Chipman
Richard Ellis, owner of the very first 427 Shelby Cobra Mustang, has just returned from the RAM Auto Show where the Shelby Cobra Mustang placed second at the prestigious event held at Pebble Beach, CA.

The Classic Auto will be on display this Friday, August 23, from 10 to 4 p.m. at Jennings, Inc. during their Grand Opening.
This is the very first Shelby Cobra 427 ever made, and it was in conjunction with Shelby and Ford Motor Co.
Mr. Ellis went on to say that the Shelby Cobra Mustang was truly “an American icon, and is priceless.”
The auto that placed first just ahead of the 427 Shelby Cobra Mustang was a Ferrari Roadster that brought 27.5 million dollars. Now you know why Mr. Ellis said his auto was ”priceless.”
Mr. Ellis is a close friend of Roger Jennings and agreed to bring his auto to Beardstown so that area car buffs could see this classic one-of-a-kind auto and to be a part of the Jennings, Inc. Grand Opening of their new auto showroom facilities.
Mr. Ellis will there to “meet and greet.”
