In an effort to provide some “Chamber of Commerce-like” events for the business community in Cass County as a whole, the Overall Economic Development Commission is starting a Young Professionals Network.
The goal of this group is to provide a chance for professionals to socialize and network within the county at events held on a regular basis throughout the year.
The first event for the Young Professionals Network is a fitness night at the Virginia Learning and Fitness Center on the square in Virginia. Business owner Stephanie Hobrock will be hosting the event and providing attendees with a chance to check out the machines and equipment, hear from a trainer, and win door prizes while enjoying social time and healthy snacks. This event will be held on July 31 at 6 p.m., and is free of charge.
“This is for the young and the young at heart. We are not really setting a firm age limit,” said Dustin Fritsche, Cass County Economic Development Director. “Our goal is to find unique venues and events to allow those in the business community that do not have the opportunity to be a member of a chamber of commerce to be able to experience some of those services, and hopefully meet new people. If you work at a business in Cass County, you are invited to this event.”
The Virginia Learning and Fitness Center is located at 121 East Springfield Street on the square in Virginia. For further questions, please contact Dustin Fritsche at 217-452-3211, Chad Winters at 217-452-7725, or Stephanie Hobrock at 217-452-7348.
