A new BHS memorial, honoring students who have died in the service to their country, has broken ground. A dedication ceremony has been scheduled for 9-11, September 11 at the high school.
The memorial is organized and will be completed through the Project Tiger Pride group. The memorial will be an extensive setting at the entrance to the Common’s area, east side of the high school, near the current BHS letters. It will involve a major landscaping of the area, encompassing the memorials, flag pole and seating and will include significant lighting to enhance the setting. The area will be a respectful and dramatic salute to our students’ ultimate sacrifice while in the military and will include the names of those who have died since 1924.
